The OpTeC Conference will take place in Inspiration Hall, Room 201, in Norm Asbjornson Hall, and evening activities will be in Ballroom A in the Strand Union Building. The parking garage is next to Norm Asbjornson Hall.

Driving to the Parking Garage

From Interstate 90, take Exit 305 and travel south on North 19th Avenue toward Bozeman. Continue approximately four miles, then turn left onto Kagy Boulevard. Travel about one mile, then turn left onto South 7th Avenue.

The parking garage entrance is the last driveway on the left before the traffic circle.

This address will take you to the parking garage next to Norm Asbjornson Hall. Please be aware that construction or road closures may occur.

Parking in the Garage

Visitor parking is available in numbered spaces on the first and second floors of the garage. Please do not park in spaces marked Reserved or 30-Minute Parking.

Pay stations are located near the stairwells on the first and second floors. Please bring your license plate number and enter it carefully when paying for parking. Rental car key chains do not always show the vehicle’s correct license plate number, so please check the plate directly.

Montana State University uses a license plate recognition system, so a receipt does not need to be displayed on the dashboard.

From the Parking Garage to Inspiration Hall

Inspiration Hall is Room 201 on the second floor of Norm Asbjornson Hall.

  1. Go to the second floor of the parking garage.
  2. Take the enclosed skywalk into Norm Asbjornson Hall.
  3. Continue toward the center staircase.
  4. Turn right and follow the second-floor hallway to the east end of the building.
  5. Inspiration Hall, Room 201, is located at the east end of the hallway.

Elevators are also available in the garage and near the corridor in Norm Asbjornson Hall.

From Inspiration Hall to Ballroom A

Ballroom A is located in the Strand Union Building.

  1. Exit Inspiration Hall and follow the second-floor hallway west toward the center of Norm Asbjornson Hall.
  2. Take the center staircase or elevator to the first floor.
  3. Exit Norm Asbjornson Hall on the north side of the building.
  4. Follow the broad pedestrian walkway through the Grant Street plaza to the Strand Union Building.
  5. Enter the Strand Union Building and head up the stairs to Ballroom A. An elevator is also available at the entrance.

The Strand Union Building is located north of Norm Asbjornson Hall.

From Parking Garage to Ballroom A

Begin on the first floor of the parking garage. The route to Ballroom A passes through Norm Asbjornson Hall.

  1. From the first floor of the parking garage, use the pedestrian exit into Norm Asbjornson Hall.
  2. Continue through Norm Asbjornson Hall toward the north side of the building.
  3. Exit Norm Asbjornson Hall on the north side.
  4. Follow the broad pedestrian walkway through the Grant Street plaza to the Strand Union Building.
  5. Enter the Strand Union Building and head up the stairs to Ballroom A. An elevator is also available at the entrance.
